On Friday, May 8, an informative talk on reproduction, contraception, and adolescent health was held at our school by Dr. Panagiotis Benardis. Dr. Benardis is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Gynecological Ultrasound, and he also holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The presentation took place as part of the Biology course. Dr. Benardis met separately with each first-year high school class, giving students the opportunity to participate more actively, express their questions, and engage in discussion in an atmosphere of trust and respect. On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, a group of thirty students from the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrni, accompanied by the project coordinator, philologist and historian Mrs. Dimitra Gortsali, and the biology teacher Mrs. Aikaterini Dakou, carried out an educational visit to the National Library of Greece at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. According to philologist Mr. Konstantinos Agogiatis, member of the Research and Educational Programs, Events, and Exhibitions Team of the National Library of Greece, who designed and implemented the program together with Mrs. Olympia Giannioti, the students were exceptional in every respect: they participated with insight and discipline, while also showing enthusiasm and liveliness. On Monday, May 4, 2026, a group of students from the Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrni, accompanied by the project coordinator, philologist and historian Mrs. Dimitra Gortsali, carried out an educational visit to the exhibition Van Gogh – The Immersive Experience. Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience was not just an exhibition but a spectacular three-dimensional adventure that immersed us in the universe of the great artist. We enjoyed a complete presentation of the artist’s work, including guided tours of his most famous paintings, the impressive immersive area, and finally a VR experience in specially designed halls. On Monday, May 4, 2026, as part of the activities of the Physics Club, a delegation of 64 students and 5 teachers from our school visited the Eugenides Foundation. Thirty-eight 1st Grade students and twenty-six 2nd Grade students participated in a four-hour educational visit to the Foundation. They first watched the 45-minute astronomy documentary “Beyond Earth.” The film offered a tour of our Solar System with impressive effects and scenes shown in the dome of the Digital Planetarium. After the screening, the students were divided into groups according to grade level and took part in separate activities, rotating between them.   The 2nd Grade group attended a demonstration of experiments titled “Physics with Light” in a specially designed laboratory.
